What are Spirulina Tablets

Spirulina is a blue-green algae. The name spirulina is derived from the Latin word for spiral denoting the physical make up of the organism when it builds swirling, microscopic strands. Spirulina is one of the small number of plant sources of vitamin B12, usually found only in animal tissues. 3g of Spirulina supplies 21/2 times the RDA of vitamin B12 and consists of more than twice the amount of this vitamin found in an equivalent helping of liver.
